Hey there! I’m Heidi, an amateur artist living in Helsinki, Finland. So glad you dropped by!
Art, especially painting, has been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember. When I was a kid, my parents enrolled me in an art school where we explored various painting techniques.
Nowadays, I mostly go with acrylics and oil colors in my work.
Nature is where I draw most of my inspiration. There’s just something about flowers, animals, tree leaves, wind and water that totally captivates me. I’m also really into the way light and dark play off each other and how you can create all kinds of cool effects by playing with the thickness of the paint.
The most rewarding part of painting, in my opinion, is seeing the emotions my works evoke in different people. My paintings have moved people to both tears and laughter. It’s incredible to create something that sparks different memories and thoughts in everyone who looks at them.
Fun fact: I always listen to music when I paint. Each painting reminds me of the songs I was listening to during the painting process.
